| Welcome to Bad Latitude, the story of sailing, travel and sports adventure. Bad Latitude is now an archived site, you can view our latest activities at our new website www.badlatitude.co.uk . The aim of this site is to chronicle the adventures we have whilst traveling around the world, and maybe provide some inspiration for others to do the same. The want list has listings of cruising crew wanted for people who want to do exactly that. But read Bad Latitude first for an insight into the pitfalls and great adventure's you could be having. Our first trip took us to Durban, South Africa where we earned our Day Skipper certificates and experienced the awesome surf of Durban's Indian Ocean. We then traveled to Darwin in Australia. The trip started as a yachting cruise from Darwin to Brisbane that was meant to encompass Thursday Island, The Great Barrier Reef and the Whitsunday's but personality clashes and overcrowding onboard make for an interesting and I hope entertaining read, with a few unexpected twists. The whole story can be read from the beginning via the Log Archives whilst the latest can be found by clicking on the latest log button. The crew pages contain details and images of those people who are most important to the overall travelogue. |
The sports section will report on extra Surfing and other sporting pastimes we embark upon. Whilst the Mission page outlines the way in which the site is updated, and the equipment we use to bring Bad Latitude to life. Bad Latitude has been designed for easy use by our visitors as well as being easily updatable by us - always a mission when you're on the road. We never know when we will be able to upload the latest update for you to read so we have an update alerter that will automatically update our readers of any changes to the site. Please also don't forget to sign the guest book, but please email us if you want to get a quicker response. |
